VELUM Precast 1D Gels
The VELUM Precast 1D gel series is designed for protein separation of 25-52 samples. Compared to other 1D gels, sample loading of these horizontal gels is much easier, the gel handling as well and no need of additional buffer. This and the perfect electrophoretic results (visualised either by staining (e.g. silver, Coomassie) or by stain-free fluorescence) are the most important point why we use the VELUM gels in our quality control and research labs.
In combination with our SPL technology, VELUM GOLD Precast Gels provide a new standard: the highly sensitive and dynamic stain-free protein detection; the normalization of every sample regarding protein load, protein concentration and labeling efficiency; the qualitative and quantitative analysis of every protein band, lane, gel; the precise Rf-value determination of every protein band independent from electrophoretic conditions.

All VELUM Precast SDS Gele come as gel kits. The kit contains 4 gels, all required buffers and gel electrode wicks. VELUM Precast SDS Gels contain 12.5% acrylamide. On request, we offer other percentages and gel gradients. The gels have a size of 250 x 110 x 0.5 mm.
VELUM GOLD: optimized for all fluorescence applications from 490nm (blue) to (800nm) near infrared.
VELUM SILVER: optimized for red + IR fluorescence applications and VIS stainings (silver nitrate, Coomassie).Powerful replacement for GE Healthcare EXCEL gels.
